Welcome

On behalf of all the pupils, staff and governors I am incredibly pleased to welcome you and your family to our school’s website. Hillary Primary school is a special place where many communities come together as one. We have one common goal, the success of all our pupils.

We believe that when a child leaves our school they will be,

ASPIRATIONAL, INQUISITIVE, ARTICULATE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, UNIQUE and because of these skills our pupils will THRIVE in a 21^st Century Modern Britain.

Hillary Primary is a vibrant and family-orientated school where children come first. Our highly motivated and committed staff team place a strong emphasis on developing positive relationships with our children and our families, placing nurture at the very heart of everything we do. Investing quality time, getting to know our children and families and understanding our children’s needs are our underlying principles. We have a successful Thrive team who are highly trained to meet the individual needs of all pupils so that all pupils can get the support they need so that disruption to their education is kept to a minimum.

We value the contribution that parents/carers provide to their child’s education and education is a partnership between home and school. Every opportunity is therefore given to you to share in your child’s education. We also provide bespoke support for individual families through the work of our parent support advisors.

We are dedicated in providing every child with the best start to their learning journey. I hope this website provides you with a sense of what it may feel like for a child on their journey through our school.
