Welcome to Nursery
We would like to say a very big hello and welcome to all our nursery children and families, whether you are continuing or just starting your journey with us. This is a very special time in your child’s life and we are truly honoured to be part of it. We will make sure that your little one’s first experience of Hillary Primary School is a magical and exciting one! We look forward to getting to know your child and developing a meaningful partnership with you this year. Please know that we are a team, working side by side to guide your child through this exciting adventure.
At Hillary Primary School we provide a learning environment which gives the children many varied opportunities, to help them to learn and develop to the best of their ability. We are a fully integrated unit which provides for children aged 3-4 years, through a play based curriculum allowing children to develop at their own rate and in their own way.
The staff that work in this year group are:
Mrs Quinn (NA Teacher)
Miss Grewal (NB Key Worker)
Mrs Stewart (NC Key Worker)
Mrs Williams (Assistant Headteacher)
Attendance & Punctuality
It is vital that your child attends school and that they are on time every day. The doors will be open for 10 minutes for children to arrive. If you need to speak to the teacher, please try and book any appointments outside of the school day where possible.

Water Bottles
Children may bring in a clean water bottle to drink from during the school day. Children are able to re-fill bottles at school. Please ensure they are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Fruit, Vegetables and Milk
Children receive a free piece of fruit or a vegetable every day, as well as a carton of milk. All children receive free milk until they are 5 Years old.
Uniform
A reminder of Uniform can be found on the ‘Parents’ section of the school website. Please name your child’s coat, hat, scarf, gloves as well as uniform. Named clothing can be returned more easily to its owner. Click link to take you to the Uniform page
Healthy Schools
As we are a healthy school this year we will be continuing our successful birthday book scheme. On your child’s birthday please do not send sweets or cakes into school but why not celebrate the day by buying a book to take home and one for our school library. We will be selling a selection of books for £1 each and will put in a special birthday label for your child’s book.
Arbor
Please ensure you have the Arbor app downloaded to your phone – you will need this to pay for everything in school, including trips. If you require any assistance in using the app, please get in touch.
